  • Evan Silver
    New Vehicle Sales Manager

    Originally from North Branch, Minnesota, Evan joined the Mills team in 2020 having 5 years prior experience working in the automotive field.  With his vocational interest clearly "cars and only cars" for some time, Evan dedicated himself to training, earning RAM, Jeep®, MOPAR and UConnect® Expert certification, as well as Commercially Certified by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles).  A Willmar resident, when he's not working Evan enjoys exploring the surrounding Willmar Lakes Area abundant lakes and trails.  "I like to ride snowmobile, hunt and fish" he said.

  • Dean Syvertson
    Service Manager

    Dean joined the Mills team in June 2019, prior to that he worked for Care Cab in several different roles.  He grew up in Hutchinson, Minnesota and went on to attend Minnesota Statue University- Mankato.  After racking up 30+ years in the industry at some level, "I have worked mostly in the automotive field" Dean said, noting he once owned a taxi company in St. Cloud for roughly 10 years.  Dean and his wife have been together over 30 years and now live in Sauk Rapids.  Together they raised four adult kids: Emily, Matthew, Tyler and Andrew.  When he's not working, Dean enjoys camping and being outdoors.

  • Tom Holmquist
    Sales Consultant

    Tom has worked at the dealership since March of 1983. He started out cleaning cars then eventually was the manager of the Reconditioning Center. In November of 1998 he started his sales career. Tom and his wife Sue have a son Jayden. Tom enjoys fishing and golfing, but most of all spending time with his family.

  • Alroy Mahlum
    Sales Consultant

    With an automotive sales career that started in 1987, Alroy joined Mills in 2012 after working in Olivia, Granite Falls and Montevideo. He and his wife, Laura, have two daughters, Sofia, and Julie, and the family lives in Montevideo. Originally from Sacred Heart, Alroy is a graduate of Renville-Sacred Heart High School and was a student in sales/marketing at Granite Falls Technical College. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, family outings and horses.

  • Kenny Schmidt
    Sales and Leasing Consultant

    "I like to meet and talk with the people, and of course getting to see and drive some of the vehicles around," Kenny says when considering his favorite aspects of his position.  He started with Mills in 2019, a fresh face to the automotive field, but no stranger to customer service having most recently served as GSM at Perkins restaurant for several years, as well as working a few in-shop shifts at Jimmy Johns and assisting at the Humane Society and Food Shelf.  He was born in Fargo, ND, but Willmar has been his home since he was 3 years old, graduating from Willmar Senior High School with the class of 2018.   Enrolled at Ridgewater College, Kenny's looking forward to studying Law Enforcement beginning the spring of 2020.  When he's not working, Kenny enjoys boating, shooting guns, and travelling.  He also enjoys the company of his purebred American Eskimo dog Sophie, and cat Sadie, who was a rescue.  "Both will do just about anything for attention," he says with a chuckle.

  • Brent Kahout
    Shop Foreman

    Brent was promoted to the dealership's new position in July 2018. He joined Mills in 2002 as an oil change technician during his first year in the automotive technology program at Ridgewater College, Willmar. After graduating from Ridgewater in 2003, Brent moved to the main shop as a service technician. He is now a Senior Master Technician certified through Ford Motor Co. Before Ridgewater he was home-schooled from kindergarten through the 12th grade. He also worked at Seneca Foods, Glencoe, having started as a machinery operator and leaving as a field crew lead man. Brent was a welder at Beaver Creek Transport, and earned a CDL to drive truck there. A native of Olivia where he continues to live, Brent loves to travel, and enjoys hunting, fishing and trips on his Harley.

  • Jayden Holmquist
    Service Advisor

    Born and raised in Willmar, Jayden worked in automotive for nearly 7 years before joining the Mills team in September 2019, coming in as no stranger with his dad working at the dealership since 1983.  Jayden's initial automotive experience was earned in a local car wash, then later working at Walt's Oil Change as a Lube Tech for 4 years.  Most recently he worked as an Auto Body Tech before deciding Semi's "were not my thing" Jayden says.  After graduating from Willmar High School in 2017, Jayden attended Ridgewater College, earning a diploma in Auto Body Collision Repair and Technology in May 2019.  Outside of work, Jayden enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, family, friends, and his dog Sam, being outdoors, working on small vehicle projects, cruising on his motorcycle and doing community service with his church.  He is also an on-call firefighter with the Willmar Fire Department.

  • Taylor Freitag
    Service Advisor

    Taylor started with Mills in 2019, with automotive service experience dating back to early 2015.  Prior to joining the Mills team he spent some time as a Lube Tech at Walt's Oil Change, with other endeavors including carpentry and some time spent working as a cook.  Born and raised in Willmar and a true Vikings fan, Taylor is a big fan of NFL and fantasy football.  When he's not working he enjoys spending time with friends and family.  A cheerful part of the Mills service team, Taylor is always quick to offer "good morning" and/or "have a great day" with a friendly smile to everyone he encounters.
